Our Programs
Youth Skills Building
The Youth Skills Building program is for 5-8th grade students and emphasizes medically accurate, age-appropriate content, covering topics from human development and puberty to healthy relationships, and personal safety.
¡Cuídate!
In the ¡Cuídate! program, students delve deeper into comprehensive sexual health, covering advanced human development, the importance of consent, and the intricacies of healthy relationships, supplemented by discussions on contraception, STI prevention, and respecting diverse identities. This instruction is rooted in medically accurate and age-appropriate content.
FREE HIV Testing
PEER funds a free HIV testing program where trained medical professionals administer rapid and confidential tests, offering counseling, education on prevention methods, and, if necessary, referrals for treatment and support to those who test positive, ensuring comprehensive care and awareness in the community.
Condom Distribution
PEER annually distributes 10,000 condoms throughout Eagle County. Given the area's resort nature and young adult population, this initiative promotes the CDC-backed benefits of consistent and correct condom use in preventing HIV transmission.
